Over the years, Vacation Bible School (VBS) has been a cherished tradition, bringing together children, families, and volunteers in a fun-filled week of learning and fellowship. However, as we navigate the ebb and flow of our community dynamics, we find ourselves faced with the reality of declining numbers in recent VBS participation.

After careful consideration and prayerful discernment, the board of education has decided to make a change and transition from the traditional Vacation Bible School format to a Day Camp model. This decision is rooted in our commitment to providing meaningful experiences that nurture the spiritual growth of our children while adapting to the evolving needs of our community.

This summer, we are thrilled to introduce our Day Camp models, designed to offer a variety of activities that cater to the diverse interests of our children. While we won't be hosting traditional VBS, we believe these new initiatives will create a fun and faith filled environment for everyone.

  • June 8th we will be providing two options for ages 3 to 5th grade. In the morning, we will be having a flag football camp, and, in the afternoon, we will be having a soccer camp.
  • July 12th we will be having music camp for 5th-12th graders.
  • August 16th we will be having a fishing camp for kindergarten-8th grade.

Each of these events is carefully crafted to provide not only a fun-filled day but also moments of reflection and learning about our faith. We believe that this approach will allow us to reach a broader audience and strengthen the bonds not only within our Church but in our community as well.

As we embark on this transition from the beloved Vacation Bible School to our Day Camp model, we do so with a sense of anticipation and enthusiasm. Our commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth of our children remains unwavering, and we believe that these carefully crafted Day Camps will not only provide a fun-filled environment but also opportunities for reflection and learning about our faith. With options catering to diverse interests, from flag football and soccer to music and fishing, we are confident that this summer's programs will create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds within our Church and community.

Join us on this new adventure, starting with the flag football and soccer camps on June 8th, as we continue to evolve and adapt to better serve the evolving needs of our vibrant community.
